Archives Is it sick or normal after sitting and squatting for a long time? Or,normal conditions, dizziness, mind, squatting, eyes, blackening, sedentary October 13, 2019

When standing up after waking up, sitting down and squatting for a long time, a sudden burst of dizziness will occur. If the condition is mild, it may only recover in a few seconds, but if it is serious, it may become dizzy and unconscious, leading to falls, which may cause brain or body injury! ___________

This condition is called "postural hypotension" in medicine. Why is it so easy for some people to get up without any difficulty, while others may cause physical discomfort or even injury? In fact, this is related to the health of the body, as long as the body circulation is good, it is not easy to have such a situation. As for those who already have postural hypotension, they need not be too nervous. As long as they develop the habit of not immediately changing their movements, they can avoid causing discomfort or injury.

Causes of postural hypotension

When we change from lying, sitting or squatting to standing, the posture looks simple, but it requires coordination and cooperation of various organs of the body, including the heart, blood vessels, nerves, etc., in order to achieve the task of getting up smoothly.

When the body wants to stand up, the heart must send enough blood to the highest brain through blood vessels. At this time, blood vessels must be coordinated by the nervous system to reduce the diameter of the tube properly so that the blood can be sent higher and farther. But if these organs react too slowly, or fail to achieve this function, the brain will produce temporary hypoxia, resulting in dizziness or fainting, that is, "postural hypotension".

What to do when dizzy

When the vertigo caused by postural hypotension occurs again, it is suggested that you should quickly find a chair and sit down. At home, you can go to bed to increase the blood circulation of the brain, reduce the degree of vertigo and avoid injury without fainting.

[How to prevent postural hypotension]

1. Activate the collaterals, muscles and bones before changing posture.

Whether it is waking up before getting up, sitting for a long time, squatting for a long time before getting up and standing, we should warm up and activate our muscles and bones, and then change our posture, so that it is not easy to cause postural hypotension. For example: stretch your right foot straight and then bend, alternate five times, then change your left foot; then stretch your feet together and sit up slowly; stay for five to ten seconds and then stand up, do not walk immediately after standing up, first make sure there is no feeling of dizziness, then walk at a pace.

2. Exercise more often and get plenty of sleep

Since the occurrence of postural hypotension is related to poor blood circulation, as long as you exercise more often, it can not only make your body muscles and bones flexible, but also keep your nerves from aging. For example, swimming, jogging and gymnastics are all good sports. In addition, early to bed and early to rise is also an important way to keep healthy and normal metabolism. As long as we pay attention to these two points, we believe that not only postural hypotension will rarely visit you, but also the body will become more resistant.
